Exaile is a music manager and player for GTK+ written in Python. It incorporates automatic fetching of album art, handling of large libraries, lyrics fetching, artist/album information via Wikipedia, Last.fm submission support, and optional iPod support via a plugin.
In addition, Exaile also includes a built-in SHOUTcast directory browser, tabbed playlists (so you can have more than one playlist open at a time), blacklisting of tracks (so they don't get scanned into your library) and more.

Exaile 0.2.12 and PPA naming problems
2008-03-26 07:32
If you are using our Ubuntu repository and 0.2.12b (noted on the downloads page), you may not receive any indication that there is an update for 0.2.12. This is because of a problem with our package naming scheme and will be fixed with the next version.
To update Exaile, it is safe to run “apt-get remove exaile && apt-get install exaile”.
NOTE: This is only for users of our PPA archive.
