Exaile is a music manager and player for GTK+ written in Python. It incorporates automatic fetching of album art, handling of large libraries, lyrics fetching, artist/album information via Wikipedia, Last.fm submission support, and optional iPod support via a plugin.
In addition, Exaile also includes a built-in SHOUTcast directory browser, tabbed playlists (so you can have more than one playlist open at a time), blacklisting of tracks (so they don't get scanned into your library), downloading of guitar tablature from fretplay.com, and submitting played tracks on your iPod to Last.fm.

Exaile 0.2.12 and PPA naming problems
2008-03-26 08:32
If you are using our Ubuntu repository and 0.2.12b (noted on the downloads page), you may not receive any indication that there is an update for 0.2.12. This is because of a problem with our package naming scheme and will be fixed with the next version.
To update Exaile, it is safe to run “apt-get remove exaile && apt-get install exaile”.
NOTE: This is only for users of our PPA archive.
